Aquinas Church of England Education Trust

Why become part of the Aquinas journey?

Striving towards life in all its fullness, Aquinas comprises a distinctive and diverse community of academies with a shared purpose and ethos. We are committed to mutual support and respect in pursuit of educational excellence for children and young people, educating the whole person so that all flourish.

Whilst we are one Trust with one mission, each academy maintains its own unique characteristics and individual identity within the community it is privileged to serve.

Our mission is to ensure the life chances and educational achievements of all children and young people in our academies are positively transformed because they are part of our strong Trust.

This vision is at the forefront of everything we do and we are ready to grow.

We currently have 9 Church of England academies in the Bromley hub and 2 Community academies in the East Sussex hub and are looking to expand within South London, Kent and East Sussex. We welcome discussions with multi academy trusts looking to merge, secondary or primary schools and academies - church or community. Interested in joining us or simply knowing more? Please get in touch by contacting info@aquinastrust.org and we would be delighted to speak to you.

You can find the Confederation of School Trust's (CST) accompanying guidance on Joining a School Trust, produced in collaboration with Stone King here. In addition, a further paper on the positive role that Multi- Academy Trusts can have on their local communities can be found here and a pamphlet on the benefits of a Trust-based system and Why you should Join a Trust here. The leadership of a group of schools working together as a single legal entity and under a single governance structure is a new field of inquiry. This paper in the CST Bridge To The Future series makes the case for new domains of educational leadership emerging from this field. You can also find a series of short and longer reads on the CST website here.
