Higher Level Teaching Assistant Mini Provision Lead - Fixed Term for 1 Year

Overview

St. George’s Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to become part of a flourishing school that achieved Outstanding by OFSTED in November 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead and manage our new mini provision supporting pupils with additional needs to access high-quality, inclusive education.

Personal attributes

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with pupils with SEND, particularly communication, ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiation.
  • Ability to lead sessions independently and manage a small team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and resilience.

Salary & Benefits

Grade:                                                Aquinas 5 (Full time salary £27,879.00 - £33,112.00 p.a)

Actual Pro Rata Salary:          £21,553.04 - £25,598.63 p.a       

Hours:                                                Mon-Fri, 32.5 hours per week, 8:30-4pm 1hr unpaid lunch

Weeks:                                              39 weeks per year

Contract:                                          Fixed Term for one year*

*This post is for one year in the first instance but with a likelihood of extension. The post is set up to meet the current high level of special educational needs within our inclusive mainstream primary school.
