Early Years Practitioners x2
Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced or newly qualified Early Years Practitioners who are passionate about improving the life experience of our pupils. We are looking to recruit 2 people, one for 10 hours and one for 30 hours who can offer one-to-one assistance or lead small groups of children. Our aim is to provide an inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum for all learners. In return we offer a caring and considerate environment where everyone is valued. Personal attributes
The role will involve:
- Providing a safe, caring and stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Delivering an appropriate play-based EYFS curriculum, indoors and outdoors, that enables children to progress.
- Planning activities which ensure each child is working toward the Early Learning Outcomes.
- Ensuring records are properly maintained, for example, Registers, Accident recording and safeguarding.
- Observing young children, record and recognise developmental stages and show an understanding of next steps.
- To liaise with Parents and Carers, encouraging involvement and be able to discuss children’s progress.
- To undertake any other duties as directed.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Full and relevant qualification in CACHE/NVQ Level 3.
- An understanding of how to support children and aid their development.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Very good numeracy/literacy skills.
- An energetic and positive team player.
- First Aid Training

Salary & Benefits
Job Title: Early Years Practitioners – 2 vacancies*
Grade Range: Aquinas Grade A3 (£25,434.00-£26,766.00 p.a.)
Hours: *Post 1: 30 hours per week, 6hrs/ day. Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30pm (1hr lunch unpaid)
*Post 2: 10 hours per week, 2hrs/day. Mon-Fri 11:30-1:30pm
Weeks: 39 weeks per year Term Time
Actual Pro-Rata salary Post 1*: £18,150.30 - £19,100.85 p.a.
Actual Pro-Rata salary Post 2*: £6,050.10 - 6,366.95 p.a.
