SEND Support Assistant
Overview
Rye Community Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable SEND Support Assistant to join our highly-motivated team. We are driven by a pursuit of high academic standards regardless of background and a desire for all pupils to experience an exceptional education. Our ideal candidate will:
- Have experience, or interest, in working as a SEND Support Assistant;
- Have experience, or interest, in working with children and families;
- Have experience, or interest, in working across the curriculum;
- Knowledge of supporting children with SEND;
- Have a working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and an understanding of the barriers to communication/interaction, cognition, SEMH and physical progress;
- Be inclusive in their practice with high expectations of all;
- Have good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team;
- Be committed to continual professional learning;
- Have integrity, optimism and be able to display a ‘can do ethos’.

Salary & Benefits
Hours: 30 hrs per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Single Status 6 Point 14 – 16 (£26,826.00 - £27,694.00 p.a.)
Actual Salary: £18,626.27 - £19,229.95
